SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 10/24/2025 at 1959 hours, while conducting Stationary Speed Enforcement on route 14, in the town of Coventry, VT. Deputy Battista observed a vehicle traveling Northbound on route 14 heading towards Nadeau Park rd, at a speed greater than the 50MPH posted speed limit. Deputy Battista had the vehicle traveling at 85MPH in the posted 50MPH zone utilizing Radar. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Juvenile (18). Deputy Battista detected multiple signs of impairment during the traffic stop. The juvenile was asked to perform Standard Field Sobriety Tests and upon completion, was taken into custody for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. Juvenile was transported for processing, and once complete, Juvenile was released to a sober adult
