On 03/25/2026 at approximately 1733 hours, Deputy Battista was conducting Speed Enforcement on Route 5A in the town of Browington VT.

Deputy Battista while traveling North on Route 5A, observed a vehicle traveling South on Route 5A at a high rate of speed. Deputy Battista initiated his blue emergency lights and sirens and conducted a traffic stop.

The operator, Gabriel Perrault was issued a criminal citation for Excessive Speed and was released.

On March 6th at approximately 20:10 hours, Deputy Battista was conducting routine patrol in the town of Newport Center.

Deputy Battista, observed a pickup truck traveling west on Route 100 revving their engine and tailgating a vehicle in front of them, before passing multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed.

Deputy Battista initiated a traffic stop and identified the operator as Juvenile. The operator was issued a juvenile citation for Excessive Speed and was released into the custody of a parent/guardian.

On 02/01/2026 at approximately 2338 hours, Deputy Battista responded to a 911 call of a possible vehicle crash with an active assault taking place, on Main Street in Greensboro Vermont . Deputy Battisa arrived and conducted an investigation with the individuals involved.

After investigation, Deputy Battista placed Steven Mossey under arrest for 2nd degree aggravated domestic assault and an active warrant confirmed for Mossey through Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department.

Mossey was transported and processed at the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department and lodged at Northern State Correctional Facility on $1,000 bail. The vehicle involved was towed.

Further investigation revealed that a few days prior to this incident, Williams had also taken merchandise from the store without paying. Williams was located and issued a citation to appear in court.
