SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On November 13th 2025, at 0947 hours, Deputy Battista was conducting speed enforcement in the town of Barton VT on South Barton Road.
Deputy Battista observed a vehicle traveling North on South Barton Rd heading into the Village of Barton. Utilizing Lidar, Deputy Battista had the sedan traveling at 71 MPH in the posted 40 MPH zone. Deputy Battista conducted a traffic stop on South Barton Rd and identified the operator as Destiny Prue. Prue was released with a Criminal Citation for the violation of Excessive Speed.

The operator was subsequently arrested and processed for DUI-Drugs and released on citation.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 10/06/2025 while on duty for the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Cota initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in Barton. Investigation also revealed that the operator displayed signs of intoxication. The vehicle fled from the traffic stop at dangerous rates of speeds, and for safety reasons, Deputy Cota was no longer behind it and the attempts to stop it were discontinued. While Deputies began driving to a possible address of the alleged operator, they located the vehicle crashed off the roadway. The operator was identified as Juan Rivera and was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center due to his injuries. Upon release from the hospital weeks later, Rivera was located and given a citation to appear in court.

On November 12, 2025, at 1854 hours, Deputy Battista was conducting speed enforcement in the town of Troy VT on route 100.
Deputy Battista observed a lifted Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck traveling East on Route 100. Utilizing Lidar, Deputy Battista had the pickup traveling at 91 MPH in the posted 50 MPH zone. Deputy Battista conducted a traffic stop on Route 100 and identified the operator as Riley Brown. Brown was released with a Criminal Citation for the violation of Excessive Speed.

Barcomb had been formally trespassed from Walmart in a prior incident. Deputy Battista arrived on scene shortly after and located Barcomb, who was then taken into custody and transported to Orleans County Sheriff’s Department for processing. Once Processing was completed, Barcomb was released without any further incident.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 10/31/2025 Deputy Dan Locke conducted an investigatory stop on a suspicious vehicle on River Rd in Troy. Investigation revealed that three of the vehicles' occupants, Travis Parenteau, Timothy Mcgee and Donald Champigny had active warrants for their arrests. The operator, Parenteau, had a criminally suspended license and also presented several signs of impairment. Parenteau was arrested and processed for the DUI- Drugs charge and then lodged at the Northern State Corrections for his $2,500 Arrest Warrant. Donald Champigny was also arrested and lodged at the Correctional Facility for his $200 Arrest Warrant. Mcgee was cited at the scene for his cite and release warrant.

Deputy Battista observed a vehicle traveling Northbound on route 14 heading towards Nadeau Park rd, at a speed greater than the 50MPH posted speed limit. Deputy Battista had the vehicle traveling at 85MPH in the posted 50MPH zone utilizing Radar. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Juvenile (18). Deputy Battista detected multiple signs of impairment during the traffic stop. The juvenile was asked to perform Standard Field Sobriety Tests and upon completion, was taken into custody for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. Juvenile was transported for processing, and once complete, Juvenile was released to a sober adult

At that time it was found that Anderson was under license suspension for Criminal DLS and had an active in state warrant, that was active since 2021. Anderson was arrested and transported to the Orleans County Criminal Court House. Anderson was released and cited for driving under suspension.
