SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 05/27/2024 while on duty for the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Cota observed a male operating a motor vehicle driving South on Main Street in the town of Barton, VT without an inspection sticker. After a traffic stop and further investigation, the operator was found to be Tanner Parenteau whose license was currently criminally suspended. Parenteau was arrested for operating a motor vehicle on a public highway while his license was criminally suspended and transported to the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department for processing and later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court; Orleans Criminal Division on 07/16/2024 to answer to the above charges.
