SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 01/11/2024 while on duty for the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Gonyaw was monitoring motor vehicle traffic on VT RT 100 in Lowell. Deputy Gonyaw conducted a motor vehicle stop for 72 MPH in a 35 MPH zone on VT RT 100 in Lowell. The operator was identified as Raul Fernandes. Raul Fernandes is due in Vermont Superior Court; Orleans Criminal Division on 02/20/2024 to answer to charge of Excessive Speed.
