SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January, 14, 2024 while on duty for the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Kulakowski conducted a motor vehicle stop on Main St in Derby Line on a vehicle that was registered to Leonard Oak. After confirming Leonard Oak as the operator and a check was done through the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles it was determined Oak was under criminal suspension and wasn’t supposed to be operating a motor vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and Oak was issued a citation for driving with a criminally suspended License and is due to appear in Vermont Superior Court; Orleans Criminal Division on February, 13, 2024 to answer to the charge of Driving with a criminally suspended drivers license.
