SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 03/24/2026 while on duty for the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Cota responded to a report of a vehicle slide off in Irasburg. The operator provided a false name but was later identified as Rebecca Ray. Following a roadside investigation, Rebecca was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. After further investigation, Ray was also charged with Cruelty to a Child, Possession of a Controlled Substance, False Information to Law Enforcement, and Driving While Criminally Suspended.
