On 09/09/2026 at approximately 1451 hours, Deputy Battista was conducting Speed Enforcement on Route 100 in the town of Troy, VT. Deputy Battista, observed a vehicle traveling East on Route 100, at a high rate of speed.

Deputy Battista initiated his blue emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop.

The operator, identified as Donald L Sawyer II was issued a criminal citation for Excessive Speed at the end of the incident.
