SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 02/01/2024 while on duty for the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Cotnoir observed a male known to him to be James Millett Jr operating a motor vehicle on River Road in the town of Coventry, VT. Dispatch confirmed Millett’s license was currently under Criminal Suspension. Dispatch also confirmed that at this time Millett had an active warrant for his arrest. After a traffic stop and further investigation, it was learned Millett was in violation of an active court ordered Conditions of release relating to operating a motor vehicle on a public highway. Millett was arrested and transported to the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department for processing and later transported to Orleans Superior Court where he was released. Millett is due back in Vermont Superior Court; Orleans Criminal Division on 03/12/2024 to answer to the above charges.
