SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On Weds, 10/23/24 at approximately 0930AM, Windsor M. Fairbank, Age: 23, Greensboro VT, appeared at the Orleans Criminal Court for a hearing in the Orleans Criminal Court. It was determined that Fairbank has an active arrest warrant from the Lamoille Criminal Court, DKT# 24-CR-004245, Bail: Cite & Release for next business day at 12:30PM. Therefore Fairbank was temporarily detained and recited to appear in the Lamoille Criminal Court on Thursday, 10/24/24 @ 12:30PM. The Lamoille Court Arrest Warrant was cancelled by the Orleans Criminal Court and Fairbank was released.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 10-07-2024, Deputy David Garces investigated a restraining order violation that occurred on 10-04-2024. Witnesses saw Jason Metras violating a restraining order condition on 10-04-2024 in Barton, VT. It was also noted that Metras was currently on probation. Upon locating Metras to arrest him for the restraining order offense, he resisted arrest. Throughout the arrest process Metras also vandalized Orleans Sheriffs Department property and committed hate motivated crimes. Metras was lodged with no bail for these offenses along with the probation violation.
