SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 12-27-2024 at 2036 hours, Deputy David Garces patrolled Irasburg near the area of RT 14 and Rt 58. He observed a vehicle make several motor vehicle violations and initiated a traffic stop. Upon speaking to the operator, Deputy Garces observed several signs of impairment. Further investigation led to the arrest and processing of the operator for driving under the influence.

Description:
On 01-03-2025 at 2000 hours, Deputy David Garces responded to Barton to assist VSP for a report of a vehicle that was driving the wrong way on the Interstate. The vehicle was reported to get off Exit 25 and drive erratically through RT 5 in Barton and then back on the Interstate from Orleans Village. The vehicle was located by VSP and Orleans County just south of the Newport Exits. Deputy Garces observed signs of impairment and arrested the operator. After further processing the operator was released with a court date.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 01-17-2025 at 1907 hours, Deputy David Garces responded to the North Troy port of entry for a suspected impaired operator called in by US Customs Agents. Upon arrival Deputy David Garces observed several signs of impairment n the operator. At the conclusion of sobriety tests, the operator was taken into custody and transported to be processed for DUI at the Newport Police Department.

Description: On 12/17/2024 Deputy Cota was on patrol assisting Saint Johnsbury Police Department with shift coverage. A vehicle was located parked on the side of a road. After checking with dispatch, the vehicle came back registered to an individual with an active arrest warrant. Upon conducting an investigative stop the individual with the warrant was not in the vehicle but the operator was subsequently arrested for DUI drugs.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On Friday, 12/20/24 at approximately 0300PM, Braylon Delibac, Age 28, arrived at the Orleans Criminal Court. It was determined he has an active arrest warrant from the Orleans Criminal Court, Dkt# 24-CR-12083, for failure to appear for criminal court on 12/17/24, Cite and Release warrant-no bail. Subsequently the arrest warrant was cancelled and Delibac was cited to appear in Orleans Criminal Court on 12/23/24 @ 1230 PM and released.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On Thursday, 12/12/24 at 0800 hrs, Danielle L. Bernardini, Age: 40, was scheduled for a Orleans Criminal Court Jury Trial. By 0930 hrs Bernardini had failed to appear so Judge Thibault released the Jury and issued an arrest warrant for Bernardini, $50,000.00 Bail. At approximately 1000 hrs Bernardini arrived late at the Orleans Criminal Court with her significant other, John Moore-Lamphere. Bernardini was taken into custody. Bernardini then appeared before Judge Thibault and the Judge remanded her to the custody of the VT DOC, $ 50,000.00 Bail. Bernardini was then transported to the NSCF in Newport.

1. SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 12/13/2024 OCSD received a complaint of a suspicious person at the Hilliker’s Store in Newport Ctr. On arrival LT Wells found two occupants slumped over and unconscious in the vehicle with a lot of drug paraphilia in the vehicle. After waking the occupants and giving a false name, Lt Wells tried to get the occupants out of the vehicle to investigate for a DUI. Prior to the operator exiting the vehicle, the male operator fled from the scene with his driver’s door open and LT Wells in proximity. LT Wells pursued the vehicle for approximately five miles until discontinuing due to road conditions and weather. After further investigation, the occupants of the vehicle were identified as Robert Dragon and Jessica Hunt.
